Koenig joined Blaze from Newcastle in 2006 (Mark Tredgold) |
Coventry Blaze are on the search for a new netminder after Trevor Koenig decided to move to Denmark. The Canadian steered Blaze to two Elite League titles, and was named the League's top netminder both times. Meanwhile, new centre Scott Kelman has revealed he spoke to former players before moving to the Skydome. He told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "I spoke to a few ex-players. Everything I heard about the city and the fans made it very enticing to join the Blaze." The Canadian, who spent the last 12 seasons playing in North America, has signed a one-year Blaze deal. He added: "To be quite honest I have not heard of [Coventry], but I have been doing my research so I will not look foolish."
