Adam Calder netted again for Blaze (Mark Tredgold) |
Coventry Blaze will have to overcome a two-goal deficit if they are to win a second trophy this season. The Elite League champions lost 4-2 away to Basingstoke Bison in the first leg of the British Knockout Cup final.
Blaze trailed their hosts through Greg Owen's early strike but Adam Calder and Dan Carlson handed Coventry the lead.
Danny Stewart's effort ensured parity going into the first interval and his second, coupled with Derek Campbell's effort, gave Bison their advantage.
The second leg of the final is at the Skydome on Tuesday, 18 March.
