Belfast Giants failed to close the gap on leaders Coventry Blaze as they lost against Nottingham on Saturday night. Two Johan Molin goals put Panthers 2-0 up but Mark Morrison replied for Giants before the end of the first period.
Goals from Patrick Wallenberg and Eric Nelson put Nottingham 4-1 ahead after the middle period and Sean McAslan completed the scoring.
Belfast remain four points behind Blaze, who lost 3-1 in Sheffield. Coventry have played four less games.
