Belfast Giants crashed to a 2-1 home defeat against Cardiff Devils in Tuesday's Elite League basement clash. The sides went into the game with only the Devils below the struggling Belfast outfit in the league table.
Scott Cameron put the Giants ahead in the middle period but goals from Max Birbraer and Jason Silverthom were enough to earn victory for Cardiff.
The Giants had ended a run of six straight defeats with Sunday's 5-0 win in Edinburgh.
However, Tuesday's result was another massive blow for Ed Courtenay's struggling squad.
