Belfast Giants coach Ed Courtenay has announced that four fans' favourites from previous years have signed for the forthcoming 2005/06 season.

Shane Johnson, Todd Kelman, George Awada and Marc Levers will all be returning to the Giants bench.

Courtenay added that a number of new names were in the pipeline.

"I have a lot of negotiations going on, at various stages. As soon as I have signatures on dotted lines I'll announce who will fill the bench."

"The ability to gel a team on the ice and in the locker room is equally important to me and I know this is a solid base to start with," added the new coach.

NHL veteran Theo Fleury is one name who has been linked with a possible move to the Odyssey outfit.
