The Belfast Giants face an uphill task in the Play-offs after only drawing with the Cardiff Devils at the Odyssey Arena on Saturday night. Cardiff led at the end of the first period thanks to John Craighead's goal on 53 seconds.
Jason Bowen equalised in the 29th minute with final period scores from George Awada and Frederick Nasvall making it 3-1 to the visitors.
Russ Romaniuk and Craighead netted late on to secure a point for the Devils.
Tony Hand's Giants really needed to win after losing their opening two games in the play-off series.
They went down 2-1 away to Cardiff on Thursday, having earlier been beaten in Sheffield.
The Giants are in Sheffield again on Sunday for what is now a must-win game.
