Cecil driven by fear of being an 'also ran'
Henry Cecil is expecting last year's Champion Stakes winner Twice Over to be in the reckoning again this time around at Champions' Day on Saturday.
The Newmarket trainer hopes the five-year-old will match his achievements of 12 months ago on his home course.
"Twice Over's in very good form and he loves Newmarket; he won the Eclipse and the Champion Stakes last year," Cecil told BBC Look East.
"He seems in great order and he must be going there with a chance."
Cecil added: "Ground-wise it doesn't really matter, I'd rather it wasn't too heavy, when you get heavy ground any horse can go better."
It's rather the battalion taking on the army, but you've got to have the best

Cecil is also looking to come out on top in the Dewhurst Stakes, the race that traditionally crowns the top two-year-old of the season.
Frankel, who has finished first in all three of his outings this year, is being talked-up as one to watch.
"Frankel has been hyped up, he is very promising," said Cecil.
"He's improving the whole time but we'll just have to wait and see. If he wins the Dewhurst easily I don't mind talking about him.
"I personally don't like a horse being built right up before they've actually done it. I think let them do the talking rather than us."
Cecil has enjoyed a resurgence over the last three years, saddling over 60 winners in 2009, but is sceptical on his chances of adding to his 10 championship trainer titles.
