The work of Newmarket-based champion racehorse trainer Henry Cecil has been recognised with a BBC East Lifetime Achievement Sports Award 2009.
Cecil is one of the most successful trainers for the last 40 years.
He was presented with his trophy at Tattersalls in Newmarket by the most successful jockey of the modern age Frankie Dettori.
Cecil has been champion trainer 10 times and winner of numerous classics, including four Derby victories.
Owner and friend the Duchess of Devonshire said: "When you see Henry when he's had a winner it's very hard for him not to cry. He's totally immersed in his horses.
"Training for him is very thrilling. He's a very loved person and I think he's constantly surprised by that."
In 2007 Cecil enjoyed one of his most emotional victories when Light Shift won the Oaks - his first classic race win in seven years.
