The 100-1 shot Avoncreek stole the show at Great Yarmouth by winning the Totesportcasino.com Handicap. The gelding, trained in Stoke-on-Trent by Brian Baugh, beat the more fancied Commander Wish in a photo finish. Avoncreek had not won in 18 previous races and also saw off Fast Freddie ridden by joint-champion jockey Seb Sanders at the East Norfolk track. 5-2 favourite Cape Cobra could only finish sixth, a place behind Norfolk trained Gone'n' Dunnet.
