Lee suffered a broken jaw and some concussion in the fall |
Top jockey Graham Lee will have a battle to be fit for the Cheltenham Festival in March after suffering a double fracture to his jaw in a fall. The 32-year-old fell when riding Cash King at Huntingdon on Thursday and was kicked by another horse.
He was treated at the course and had an operation on Thursday night.
Lee's agent Richard Hale told BBC Sport: "Graham is usually a quick healer and as this is a clean break, hopefully that will be the case again."
Hale added: "He will probably be out for at least a month, which could put him back into action the week before Cheltenham, but it all depends on what the surgeon says."

Lee lies second in the jockeys' championship to Tony McCoy, who is currently on the sidelines with back and rib injuries.
As stable jockey to Ferdy Murphy, Lee would be expected to have some top class rides at Cheltenham.
