All the pre-race favourites remain in the field for the Grand National following the first forfeit stage.

A total of 130 horses are provisionally entered in the 9 April race, including 30 from Ireland and four from France.

The first three horses home in 2004 - Amberleigh House, Clan Royal and Lord Atterbury - are among the entries.

Aintree boss Charles Barnett said: "It's great to see all the leading contenders still going forward for the 2005 John Smith's Grand National."

Bindaree, winner in 2002, and the 2003 winner Monty's Pass are also still among the entries.

For safety reasons, there will be a maximum of 40 runners on the day itself.
