Aintree is the home of the Grand National, the most famous race in the world.

The big race itself is part of a big three-day meeting, one of the highlights of the National Hunt season.

The track has two separate courses - the Grand National course, which is used only several times in the year and the Mildmay course.

The Mildmay course is quite sharp and flat and often favours front runners.
