High Chaparral wins series
| High Chaparral won two World Series races | High Chaparral has been crowned the World Series Champion for 2003. The championship is made up of 12 of the world's most prestigious Flat races with points scored for being placed in the first six in those races. High Chaparral, who is trained by Aidan O'Brien, won the Irish Champion Stakes and jointly won the Breeders' Cup Turf. It is the first time since the World Series was set up in 1999 that the competition has been won by a horse not owned by Godolphin. Falbrav secured the runner's-up spot with victory in the Hong Kong Cup while Sulamani, representing Godolphin, was third in the overall standings.
