England came from a goal behind to earn a 1-1 draw with South Korea as they continued their unbeaten start to the Women's Hockey World Cup in Argentina.

England were 1-0 down after only 14 seconds when Kim Jong-eun deflected a shot of Kim Ok-ju in open play.

Helen Richardson equalised in the second minute of the second half when she dribbled through the defence to score, leaving England on seven points.

It left England in second place in the table after Argentina beat Spain 4-0.

It meant Argentina, who England play on Monday, top Group B with nine points.

Earlier, China earned their first win of the competition with a 4-1 victory over South Africa. England face South Africa on Saturday in their fourth group game of tournament.

"I'm really happy with the result. It was an excellent team performance against what I see as one of the best teams in the tournament," said England head coach Danny Kerry.

"We stuck to the game plan and did what said we would in preparation for the game."
