Walton (right) has been axed from the England squad |
Canterbury player Natalie Seymour has been called up as a replacement for Sally Walton for England women's hockey games against Holland next week. Walton has been dropped after playing for her club Bowdon Hightown against medical advice, which contravenes her Great Britain contract.
If selected, 20-year-old Seymour will win her first senior cap.
The University of Kent Psychology student is currently in her third season with Canterbury.
England play Holland on 28 November in Rotterdam and on 29 November in Amsterdam.
Revised England squad to play the Netherlands:
Beth Storry (GK), Lisa Wooding, Crista Cullen, Helen Richardson, Jo Ellis, Kate Walsh, Chloe Rogers, Alex Danson, Alex Scott, Natalie Seymour, Hannah Macleod, Chloe Strong, Jo Ellis, Kerry Williams, Becky Duggan (GK) Anne Panter, Hayley Brown.
