Garrard (r) in action for England against Belgium last year |
Surbiton defender Brett Garrard has relinquished the England captaincy after three years. The responsibility will now be shared between Amsterdam's Ben Hawes and Loughborough Students' Glenn Kirkham.
The decision was made after a team meeting with coach Jason Lee, who felt it was important to share the load.
"Brett has been an excellent captain for England and Great Britain over the last three years but he has now passed on the responsibility," Lee said.
