Britain's Shaun McKeown clinched a bronze medal at the men's C3 time-trial at the UCI World Paracycling Road Championships in Baie-Comeau, Canada. McKeown had been in first place with a time of 35:46secs but was pipped by Italy's Paulo Vigano and France's Jacky Galletaud, who took gold and silver. "I made sure I paced the ride on the first lap, so I was able to go quick enough on the final lap," said McKeown. Team-mate Rik Waddon finished 11 seconds behind McKeown in fourth place. Meanwhile, Russ White finished 22nd in the men's C1-5 time trial, a race won by Italy's Andrea Tarlao. Great Britain's women's tandem pair of Rebecca Rimmington and Lora Turnham finished in sixth on the 22.8km course with a time of 36:09secs.
