Norfolk now leads Wagner 22-14 in career head-to-heads |
Two-time Paralympic gold medallist Peter Norfolk failed to add the singles title to Friday's doubles title win at the wheelchair tennis Japan Open. Hampshire's Norfolk was looking for his fourth Japan Open title in six years. He lost 7-6 (4) 6-0 to American defending champion David Wagner in the final - but will retain his world number one quad singles ranking. Norfolk won the doubles quad final with Canadian partner Sarah Hunter against Wagner and Bryan Barten on Friday.
