 Hynd trains with able-bodied swimmers to push himself harder |
Nottinghamshire swimmer Sam Hynd broke three world and five European records at the Disability Sports Event National Short Course Championships. The Paralympic medallist was also named best male swimmer at the event in Sheffield this weekend. The 17-year-old's European records now include the S8 100m freestyle and 200m individual medley. He also smashed world records in the 50m breaststroke, 400m freestyle and the open 4x1L medley. Hynd, who trains with the Nottinghamshire-based Nova Centurions, won gold in the 400m freestyle and bronze in the 200m individual medley events in Beijing.
