A Derby man who replied to an internet advert for a goalkeeper has made it to the Paralympics.
Leon Taylor is in the GB seven-a-side cerebral palsy football squad competing in Beijing.
He told BBC East Midlands Today: "It gives me goose bumps just to think that I'm going to be part of it.
"I'm having the last laugh really because I've got an opportunity that most people are never likely to experience."
Taylor, who trains with the England cerebral palsy squad, is also working with Derby County to make sure children with disabilities get the chance to play sport.
He said: "I hope that things like the Paralympics will encourage more young people to think 'yes I can do this'."
The side suffered an early 8-1 defeat to defending champions Ukraine but face Iran on Wednesday.
