The JEC Bright Sparks won the opening match of their 2008 JSAD Wheelchair Basketball Challenge after beating G-4 Les Quennevais 12-8 on Monday night.

Gavin Glaser scored six of the JEC's points while Peter Richards chipped in with four.

James Alry and Richard Nevitt were also scorers for the home team.

The next match in the event is on Monday 21 July at Les Quennevais when Investec face CCV, who won their opening match last week.
