Great Britain are into the last eight of the World Wheelchair Basketball Championships after easing to a 75-59 win over South Africa on Monday. The victory, which followed defeats to France and Australia, secured the Brits a testing clash with host nation the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Wednesday.
The Dutch finished second in their group thanks to 62-55 win over Italy.
The other quarter-finals see Canada face Sweden, Australia take on Italy and the United States meet Japan.
GB were dealt an early blow against South Africa when key player Simon Munn had to leave the game after four minutes after an injury sustained the previous day.
But Terry Bywater's inside threat and Jon Pollock's perimeter shooting helped them to a 42-30 interval lead.
Although South Africa cut the lead to eight points in the third quarter, GB again pushed home their advantage to run out comfortable winners.
Bywater finished top scorer on 34 points with Pollock on 15 but 10 of the 12-strong panel found the basket during the game.
"The home crowd will surely put another player on the court for the Dutch, but we will play together as a team we look forward to the challenge," said Joseph Fletcher, chairman of the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Association.
