American sprinter Marlon Shirley
Shirley won 100m gold at the Athens Paralympics
American sprinter Marlon Shirley has confirmed his participation in next month's Paralympic World Cup.

Shirley won gold in the T44 100m in Athens but was beaten in the 200m by South African Oscar Pistorius, who he will face again in Manchester.

The inaugural event will feature four disciplines - track and field athletics, wheelchair basketball, track cycling and swimming.

The competition will also be sponsored by Visa for the next three years.
