The Great Britain women's wheelchair basketball team won one match and lost another on the second day of the European Championships in France. The team battled bravely in a 50-41 loss to Germany before recovering to defeat Spain 41-28.
GB were always chasing the game against Germany who pulled away in the second half to ease to victory.
But they put in a strong display against Spain with Sally Wager hitting 14 points with Kristina Small on 10.
GB led 23-10 at half time and although the Spaniards pulled the gap back to three points in the second half, GB responded well to claim victory.
"It was a much better performance than in our opener against France," said coach Garry Peel.
"The team played as I had asked them and their shooting was also much improved."
