Battling Caven eager to realise dream

Jamie Caven says his battle to overcome pancreatic cancer has not affected his desire to reach the top of his sport.

The Derby-based star, nicknamed 'Jabba' as he is a diabetic and has to jab himself in the leg with insulin four times a day, is also blind in one eye.

But Leicester-born Caven told BBC Sport he does not let that affect him and is focused on improving his 17th place in the PDC Order Of Merit rankings.

"I want to break into the top 16 and go from there," the 34-year-old said.
