Phil Taylor will start the defence of his Premier League title against world champion Adrian Lewis on 10 February.

The Stoke-on-Trent pair will headline the opening round of matches, which take place at the O2 Arena in London.

Lewis has risen to number two in the world rankings after his victory at the Alexandra Palace and will play in the Premier League for the fifth time.

Taylor hit two nine-dart finishes against James Wade in the 2010 final to secure his fifth Premier League title.

Also on the opening night, beaten world finalist Gary Anderson plays Simon Whitlock, Raymond van Barneveld takes on Terry Jenkins and Wade will face Mark Webster, who defeated Taylor en route to the semi-finals at the Alexandra Palace.

Taylor and Lewis will meet again in Birmingham on 21 April.

The eight players will face each other twice in a round-robin format, with the top four making it through to the play-offs at the Wembley Arena on 19 May.
