BDO World Darts Championship, Frimley Green, 3-11 January Coverage: Live on BBC TV, Red Button and BBC Sport website
Highlights - Adams holds nerve to beat Robson Martin Adams held off a spirited fightback by Gary Robson to clinch a 5-4 win and a semi-final place at the BDO World Darts Championships. Third seed Adams had raced to a 3-0 lead, only to see Robson take the next three sets and draw level. Both men claimed a further set each, forcing the match into a tie-breaker won by Adams, who held his nerve after several misses on his final double. Adams now plays Ted Hankey, who beat John Walton 5-1 in their quarter-final. The other semi-final will see Tony O'Shea take on Darryl Fitton. Hankey, who won the title in 2000, avenged his loss to Walton in the 2001 final in spectacular fashion, taking a commanding 4-0 lead before Walton could register his first set. "I'm over the moon. I've never lost a semi-final, it's the only round I've never lost in," Hankey told BBC Sport. "I so much wanted to be in the semi-finals, it was unreal. "The first session I played well but the last two sets I was thinking too much, but John was struggling because he has a problem with his shoulder." Extensive coverage of the Lakeside World Darts Championships will feature on BBC TV and the BBC Sport website.
