Adrian Lewis is yet to win a major title

Stoke's Adrian Lewis hit his first-ever nine-dart finish at the Championship League Darts in Essex on Monday night.

The 23-year-old, who has just completed a two-month suspension, played the perfect leg in the group game with James Wade.

Lewis hit 180 and 177 before checking out 144 with two treble 18's and a double 18.

The world number five progressed to the final of the tournament, in which he was beaten by Mervyn King.
