Staffordshire's Phil Taylor beat World Champion John Part 8-3 to climb to third place in the Premier League. Taylor's third successive league win included an average of 107 and the night's highest checkout of 164.
He said : "I'm getting back to my best, I'm dedicating myself and working hard in practice and it's coming together."
Fellow Stoke player Adrian Lewis was beaten 8-2 by Dutchman Raymond Van Barneveld who remains top of the table after seven matches.
