Gulliver has been the queen of Lakeside World Darts since 2001 |
Trina Gulliver will face Russia's Anastasia Dobromyslova in this year's women's Lakeside World Darts final. Second seed Gulliver, chasing an eighth Lakeside crown, beat third-ranked Karin Krappen 2-0 of the Netherlands to book her berth in Friday's showdown.
Dobromyslova also notched up a 2-0 win over Hampshire's Stephanie Smee, who earlier this week beat Dutch top seed Francis Hoenselaar.
Gulliver, from Oxfordshire, has never lost a match at the Lakeside.
After her semi-final victory, she said: "I was pleased with my performance and always felt in command.
"Karin did not play her best, I know she can play a lot better, so she did not put any real pressure on me."
Dobromyslova is a past winner of the World Youth Masters title at the Lakeside, so knows what it takes to triumph at the "home of darts".
But "Golden Girl" Gulliver will be a short-odds favourite to win her eighth world crown and the 6,000 first prize.
