Gulliver is the dominant figure in women's darts at the moment |
World number one Trina Gulliver claimed her sixth consecutive women's darts world title at the Lakeside with a 2-0 win over Francis Hoenselaar. Despite her dominance, Gulliver's display was nowhere near as good as the impressive show she put on when beating Clare Bywaters in the last four.
"It's getting harder and harder to win it," said the 36-year-old.
"The fifth title last year was a milestone and I was thinking 'can I do six?'. But I'm chuffed to bits."
Gulliver takes home a cheque for 6,000, compared to a first prize of 60,000 in the men's competition.
