Kenny won three medals for Britain at the championships in Pruszkow

Jason Kenny landed Britain's third gold of cycling's European Elite Track Championships on the final day of competition in Poland.

Kenny, who won bronze in the individual and team sprints, passed team-mate Matt Crampton in the home straight to seal a one-two in the men's keirin.

The result took Britain's total medal haul to seven for the event.

Victoria Pendleton came fifth in the women's keirin, and Ed Clancy and Laura Trott were fourth in the omnium events.

Pendelton was squeezed out of contention as Olga Panarina of Belarus took the gold. Jess Varnish crashed out in the minor final.

In the six-discipline men's omnium, world champion Clancy managed third places in the individual pursuit and scratch race and his second first-placed finish in the one-kilometre time-trial.

But he finished one point outside of the medal positions as Roger Kluge of Germany took gold.

World junior champion Trott came fourth in the individual pursuit and scratch race before snatching third in the final 500m time-trial to finish two points outside a medal as Spain's Leire Olaberria Dorronsoro triumphed.
