Karran proud of Cavendish achievements

The executive chairman of the Isle of Man Sports Council Geoff Karran MBE says that Manx sprint sensation Mark Cavendish is a "born winner".

The Manx cyclist made history on Monday by becoming the first ever British rider to hold the Tour de France green jersey for two days in a row.

Karran told BBC Isle of Man: "Mark's dedication is unquestionable.

"He's going from strength-to-strength and I truly believe he can hold on to the green jersey."

Monday's victory was the 24-year-old's second successive Tour stage win and his sixth in total.
