 Pellizotti takes the yellow jersey after stage two of Paris-Nice |
Franco Pellizotti unleashed a surprise sprint finish to win stage two of the Paris-Nice race and overhaul Britain's David Millar in the overall standings. Pellizotti led home an Italian one-two-three in the 177-km leg between Vatan and Limoges ahead of Daniele Bennati and Luca Paolini.
The Italian Liquigas team rider won the second stage in three hours 57 minutes.
Millar, who won the opening prologue, finished 23rd to drop six seconds adrift of Pellizotti overall.
