Crashes spoil Thomas' Euro chase
Welsh cyclist Geraint Thomas endured a disappointing European Junior Track Championships after crashing out of the Points and Scratch races in Italy.

However, Thomas did enough to help ensure fellow Under-23 Team GB member Mark Cavendish the Points title.

There was better news in the Junior competition for Thomas' compatriots Ross Sander and Matt Rowe.

Cardiff rider Rowe took individual gold in the Scratch, while Llantrisant's Sander won the Team Pursuit.
