 Di Luca now has a useful lead in the overall standings |
Italian Danilo Di Luca continued his winning run with victory in the latest race in the 27-leg Pro Tour series, the Fleche Wallonne in Huy, Belgium. He took the lead with 200 metres remaining and sprinted up the Wall of Huy final climb.
The 40 points he collected for winning the race take him top of the overall standings with 131 points, 19 ahead of second-placed Tom Boonen of Belgium.
It follows his triumph in the Amstel Gold Race on Sunday.
