Reynes won in a sprint finish |
Spain's Vicente Reynes won the weather-affected third stage of the Paris-Nice cycle race on Wednesday. Bad conditions forced the organisers to shorten the stage between Thiers and Craponne-sur-Arzon to 118km and move the finish line because of snow.
The 23-year-old Spaniard, who turned pro in 2003, won in a sprint finish ahead of Italy's Guido Trenti and US champion Fred Rodriguez.
Belgium's Tom Boonen retained the overall race lead.
