Winn delight at selection
Julian Winn
Welsh cyclist Julian Winn was a happy man after securing a spot at his first Olympic Games.

"Being selected for Athens is amazing," the 31-year-old Abergavenny rider told The Western Mail.

He is joined in the British team by compatriot Nicole Cooke, the 20-year-old medal-hope having enjoyed the luxury of pre-selection last December.

"This is the strongest cycling team we've ever fielded," said British Cycling director Dave Brailsford.
