David Gourlay and Paul Foster are through to the quarter-finals of the World Bowls Championships in Norfolk.

Gourlay, who is seeded sixth, defeated Australia's Kelvin Kerkow, while fourth seed Foster finished off fellow Scot Darren Burnett.

East Lothian's Foster progressed 7-7 9-8 in a closely-fought match against the unseeded Burnett from Arbroath.

Ayrshire-born Gourlay, who is based in Australia, overcame the 11th seed Kerkow 7-3 7-7.
