Jackson (r) and Gourlay won the World Indoor Pairs title in 2006 and 2007 |
Lincoln bowls player Billy Jackson and his partner David Gourlay are through to the World Indoor Pairs Championship final at Potters Leisure in Norfolk. They beat defending champions Ian Bond and Andy Thomson 8-4, 8-4 in Saturday's semi-final. They now face Kelvin Kerkow and Mervyn King in the final on Sunday. Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It was a phenomenal match to be in. That's the best we've played together and we're getting better day by day." He added: "Every bowl had to be within a matter of inches to win the ends. "If you weren't, you might as well have thrown your bowl in the side ditch."
