Foster loses World Indoor crown
Paul Foster
Foster won the world title last year
Defending champion Paul Foster has been knocked out of the World Indoor Bowls Singles Championship at the quarter-final stage in Great Yarmouth.

The Scot, seeded number one, fell to England's Robert Paxton 4-9 8-4 2-0, while Greg Harlow defeated fellow Englishman Graham Smith 12-4 6-7 2-1.

Harlow, seeded 14, had earlier beaten Scotland's former champion, David Gourlay, who now represents Australia.

Scotland's three-time champion, Alex Marshall, had already gone out.
