Leicester Riders coach Rob Paternostro heaped praise on Ryan Zamroz after the guard's inspired display in Saturday's 95-64 victory over Guildford Heat.

Zamroz scored 34 points as Riders romped past Heat at the John Sandford Centre to go sixth in the BBL table.

"After Christmas Ryan has been on a good roll," a delighted Paternostro told BBC Radio Leicester.

"He is a super talent who continues to work on his game and when you work on your game that much, you get results."

Heat gained an early 6-2 advantage but once Riders put together a 9-0 run up to the first break to lead 21-12, a home win never looked in doubt.

Ten points from Zamroz in the second quarter helped Riders move out to a 20-point half-time lead at 46-26.

The gap was extended to 30 midway through the third period and they also led 85-42 before Guildford gained some respectability by finishing the match with a 22-10 burst.

Paternostro added: "We had a gameplan. We wanted to slow them down and neutralise them on defence. We really studied them and did a good job."
