Worcester Wolves coach unfamiliar with MK Lions

Basketball

Worcester Wolves coach Paul James says Saturday's opponents Milton Keynes Lions are something of an unknown quantity to him.

The Wolves take on the Lions in their last home game of 2010 on before heading to Glasgow Rocks on Sunday.

Worcester coach Paul James told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "I've not had a chance to see them [the Lions], they have only played a few games.

"They have made a lot of changes to their roster since Mike New took over."

James added: "Rather than look at key players we're just going to concentrate on them as a team and what we need to do to stop their scoring opportunities"

Wolves are in eighth place in the table having won five and lost eight but have played the more games than any other team in the BBL and James is expecting a difficult game in Scotland on Sunday.

"They are a good team. Sterling [Davis] has done a good job putting them together and they have a classy point guard in EJ Harrison who runs the team very well.

"They are multi talented - Mike Copeland, Nick Livas and Sterling are all tough players to handle."

James hopes that his team have learned their lesson from their last meeting.

"We controlled the game very well for the most part. We lost focus in the final two or three minutes which was our downfall. We have to play for 40 minutes and more."
