Rob Paternostro eyes festive boost for Leicester Riders
Leicester Riders coach Rob Paternostro says it is vital they end their year on a positive note by beating Worthing Thunder on Saturday.
Riders sit in seventh spot in the BBL table, just four points off Cheshire in second place but with a game in hand.
But Paternostro's men are one of four teams on 10 points.
"Worthing is an important game, it's our last game before the Christmas break so we want to end the calendar year on a high," Paternostro said.
"It is also a home game, and in this league this season you have to take advantage of your games at home."
But Paternostro is wary of the threat Thunder will pose at the John Sandford Centre.
"I think Adam Williams is having a very good year," Paternostro said. "I've been impressed with his play this season, he has really become an efficient player on the offensive end.
"And Shaun Durant continues to rebound well, he is one of the best rebounders in the league, it is important for us to control him and [Jon] Nottley on the boards."
The Riders are hoping for a bumper crowd as under 12's will be allowed in free of charge.
