Leicester Riders suffered their second defeat against BBL leaders Mersey Tigers in a week, going down 87-78 despite a good start in Sunday's game. Riders rattled off the first 10 points of the game but a Tafari Toney inspired 9-0 run got Tigers back on track. The hosts went on to score 12 of the last 14 points of the second period to go 43-35 ahead and they maintained that advantage to close out the win. On Saturday, Riders secured a 104-97 home victory over Plymouth Raiders. Riders had JR Blount and Joseph Harris to thank for their victory, with the duo both scoring 29 points to help their team overtake Raiders in the fourth quarter. Leicester led 82-80 midway through the final stanza before Blount and Harris combined for 21 of their team's next 22 points to put the match beyond a Raiders side who had led at the end of the first three quarters.
