Leicester Riders gave a gutsy display against Cheshire on Sunday but were beaten in the BBL Cup quarter-finals for the fourth time in five years. The Jets - losing BBL Cup finalists last season - secured a 109-100 success and in doing so recorded a sixth win in a row in all competitions. Chester dominated the first three quarters and eased into a 84-73 lead. Riders responded in the fourth period and an 8-0 tear helped them to within two points at 91-89 but Jets held firm. Jeremy Bell led all scorers for the Jets with 33 points, while Colin O'Reilly added 29. The Riders were led by 29 from Jo Harris.
