Leicester Riders moved back into the top five of the BBL Championship with a 89-80 home victory over Worthing Thunder on Saturday. Riders were edged out by Everton Tigers 94-87 on Friday but bounced back with a professional display against Thunder. Leading 48-33 at half-time, Riders maintained a healthy cushion throughout the third quarter but a 6-0 run brought Thunder back to within 10 points. But the home side held their nerve and a 9-0 last-period tear secured victory. Jason Johnson ended the match with 28 points and 13 boards.
