Paternostro guided Riders to third spot - their best BBL finish |
BBL coach of the year Rob Paternostro is this week expected to sign a new contract to stay at Leicester Riders. The 36-year-old American was named coach of the year after guiding Riders to the play-off semi-finals, following their third-place finish in the league. Director Kevin Routledge told BBC Radio Leicester: "We hope to get it sorted, he's done a great job. "His recruiting was fantastic, he has the respect of the players and that is what you want from a coach." Routledge added: "We are pretty determined to get the bulk of the squad back and I know that's what Rob wants to do as well, so we'll get Rob sorted and he'll look after the players."
