Williams is eager not to make his ankle injury worse
Leicester Riders are waiting to see if Flinder Boyd and LaTaryl Williams will be fit to face fellow BBL play-off hopefuls Plymouth Raiders on Saturday.
Both players missed last week's win over the Worcester Wolves, point guard Boyd with a groin strain and forward Williams with an ankle injury.
Williams told BBC Radio Leicester he hoped to be fit for the key home game.
He said: "It's getting better but it's not 100%. I've got to see where I am. I don't want to jump back too early."
And Williams said the Riders have the quality and spirit to beat Raiders irrespective of their injury problems.
"We have to buckle down and play as one," he said. "If we can do that it doesn't matter who is out there on the court.
"If you play together it shows you anything can happen."
Saturday's game at the John Sandford Centre tips off at 1930 GMT and you can hear live commentary at bbc.co.uk/leicester.
