Anthony Paez was on the losing side despite Wolves' flying start |
Worcester Wolves have dropped to ninth in the BBL after losing 99-87 at Leicester Riders. Wolves began well with a 15-2 run, with 10 points by Anthony Paez, but a change of tactics and a 13-2 run by the home side made it 25-21 after 10 minutes. Wolves looked to have made a decisive break in the third quarter when they went ahead to lead 63-56. But they lost their discipline, conceding three fouls to allow Leicester to put together a 17-3 burst. The closest Wolves could get was 81-75 before a 12-3 run for Leicester finally took the match away from Worcester. The next home game for the Wolves is another important league match against the Worthing Thunder on Friday night (27 February, 1900 GMT).
